Welcome to NILD Canada™NILD Canada is an emerging affiliate of the National Institute for Learning Disabilities headquartered in Norfolk Virginia USA. NILD has trained 1500+ educational therapists who are currently working in forty-six countries worldwide. NILD Canada, headquartered in Waterloo Ontario, has trained over 100 therapists through training courses offered year round. The NILD Educational Therapy Program, sometimes referred to as the Discovery Program, is recognized as an effective model that focuses on strengthening areas of deficient functioning in children and adults. NILD Canada sponsors an annual conference to assist therapists with ongoing education, to acquaint teachers and school administrators with the elements of the program and how educational therapy can assist in the development of students, and to inform parents and professionals about the program.
